Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme allowing charities to reclaim basic rate tax (25p for every £1) on donations from taxpayers at no extra cost to the donor. For example, for a £10 donation, the charity claims an extra £2.50, making the gift worth £12.50.
It applies to cash, cheque, or online donations from individuals who have paid sufficient UK Income or Capital Gains Tax.
